CZ-USA’s newest centerfire offering, the 557 is a departure from the Mauser-style bolt found on the popular 550. Instead, the 557 features a short extractor and plunger-style ejector for smooth operation and enhanced ejection. The short extractor also makes it easier to single-load your Rifle, which many shooters prefer for range work.

The new action is paired with CZ’s legendary cold hammer-forged, factory-lapped 24″ barrel, which helps to squeeze more velocity out of the 6.5mm Creedmoor round. Its American-pattern stock has strong pistol grip with a bit of a palm swell, and is adorned with a classic checkering for good looks.

With a high comb and no sights, this rifle is intended for use with a scope, and built-in dovetails mean there are no bases required — allowing scopes to be mounted directly to the action and enabling a simpler, more robust attachment method. To top it off, it comes with a fully adjustable trigger that allows you to tune weight, creep and over-travel to your liking. The resulting rifle is destined to become your new go-to for any hunting adventure.
