The .300 AAC Blackout round was developed to provide superior ballistic performance at standard engagement ranges vs. 5.56 NATO while also functioning flawlessly with a suppressor—all while utilizing standard M4 receivers, bolts and magazines. And now, Ruger has adapted their AR-556 platform to take full advantage of the .300 AAC Blackout.

Ruger’s AR is built around forged 7075-T6 aluminum upper and lower receivers, and features a heavy-contour, cold hammer-forged steel barrel with ultra-precise rifling that provides exceptional accuracy, longevity, and easy cleaning. 11″ aluminum handguard is free-floated for accuracy and features M-LOK accessory attachment slots along the 3:00, 6:00 and 9:00 positions, with additional slots on the angled faces near the muzzle. Finished off with a single-stage trigger and ergonomic pistol grip, the AR-556 is the ultimate .300 AAC Blackout Rifle.
